Function
The function of hiking and snowshoe clubs in southern New Hampshire is to bring groups together with a similar love of hiking and the outdoors.
Age
Some groups are dedicated to the older population, while others are open to adults of any age.
Cost
Many of the meet up hiking and snowshoe groups don't cost a thing to be a part of. The only costs that members might have to pay are trail fees or admission fees into a park or for multiple day trips.
Locations
The White Mountains and Appalachian Mountains are popular because the amount of trails. Also popular is the 2,000 acres in the Beaver Brook Association area.
Clubs to Join
The NH Chapter of the AMC is a group that meets up to enjoy the Appalachian Mountains for all ages. The New England Hiking Group likes anything outdoors for adults of all ages. ROAM is group of outdoor enthusiasts close to 40 and over, while the New-England-Over-50-Hiking-Group is for hikers over 50. The Beaver Brook Association has a clublike atmosphere for hikers in the area.
