Nestled in the western Caribbean, three marvelous islands make up the Grand Cayman Islands. The islands, about 480 miles south of Miami, Florida, are Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman.

Currency

The Grand Cayman Islands are British Territory that carries its own currency. The currency is the dollar with denominations of CI$1, 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100. U.S. currency is widely accepted.

Average Temperature

The Cayman Islands are known for their beautiful weather. The average temperature during the summer months is 85 degree Fahrenheit and approximately 75 degrees Fahrenheit in the winter months.

Legal Drinking Age

The legal drinking age is 18 on the Cayman Islands. The Cayman government urges all visitors and residents to drink responsibly.

Traveling Documents

Visitors are required to present a valid passport or visa to enter the country. The documentation must be valid beyond the date of their return ticket. They are required to show proof of their paid return ticket in some cases.

Entry Refusal

Cayman Island officials reserve the right to refuse a visitor's entry into the country. They may be subject to refusal for invalid or expired traveling documents, presenting false or misleading information, failing to comply with immigration officials, carrying insufficient funds to maintain their stay and return to their homeland.
