Branson, Missouri, is a destination for more than 8 million people each year. Located in the Ozark Mountains and with a temperate climate year-round, Branson is a return spot for many guests. The city has lakes, golf courses, shopping, the mountains and plenty of live shows to appeal to a tourist of any age.

Location

Branson is located in the southwest corner of Missouri. It is approximately 250 miles from St. Louis.

Weather

Moderate weather makes for four pleasing but distinct seasons in Branson. It's not usually cooler than 47 degrees Fahrenheit in January or warmer than about 90 degrees Fahrenheit in July.

Entertainment

Branson has received the moniker of "Live Entertainment Capital of the World." This is because Branson includes more than 50 theaters and hosts hundreds of shows each year from comedy to music to stage productions.

White Water

Branson has one outdoor waterpark, White Water, that covers more than 10 acres. This park has more rides, attractions and water events than any other park in the Ozark region.

Golf

Based on the unique features from the Ozark Mountains, Branson's golf courses have been endorsed by numerous magazines. The par-3 Top of the Rock Golf Course was designed by Jack Nicklaus.
