Population
As of July 2009, China is estimated to have the world largest population with approximately 1,338,612,968 people living there. For the sake of comparison, the United States has the third largest population with 307,212,123 people.
Geography
China is the fourth largest country in the world in terms of area, 3,705,392.5 square miles, and is just slightly smaller than the United States.
China is bordered by 14 countries and is home to Mount Everest.
Industry/Economy
China has the world's largest workforce according to estimates from July 2009 with 812.7 million workers divided into agriculture, industry and service jobs at rates of 39.5%, 27.2% and 33.2% respectively.
Military
China requires all residents between the ages of 18 and 22 to serve 24 months of military service, unless they go to a university in which case they undergo one to four weeks of military training.
Technology
According to the CIA World Factbook, as of 2008, China has more internet users than any other country in the world with 298 million. They also have the most cellular phones with 634 million users.
