According to an article published in Bicycle Retailer, Honda Racing licensed their name and logo to Cycle Source Group. In other words, retail Honda mountain bikes are not actually made by Honda.

According to World.Honda.com, Honda did design and manufacture one mountain bike in house, the RN-01. It's a competitive downhill bike used by their racing team, Team G Cross Honda, and is not available for retail sale.
