Fairfield Glade is a resort community on the Cumberland Plateau in middle Tennessee. At 2,000 feet, it is the highest point between the Smoky Mountains and Rocky Mountains.

Fun Fact

Fairfield Glade is not an incorporated city. It is run by a homeowners association and has almost 5,000 residents.

Features

There are 11 lakes, fed by pristine springs. Two of the lakes--Dartmoor and St. George--have marinas and beaches. Boats and equipment are available for rent.

Considerations

The Fairfield Glade Fishing Club has bi-weekly bass fishing tournaments and has a season-ending tournament in October.

Warning

A person must own property or be a guest of a resident or property owner to fish at Fairfield Glade, but the marinas are open to the general public.

Considerations

Several of the homes are available as rentals, which permits fishing and golfing at the resort.

Legal

Even though Fairfield Glade is private property, you must still have a Tennessee fishing license to fish there.
