Vail
Vail is one of Colorado's most well known ski resorts and has been voted best ski resort in the United States 14 times. Along with more than 5,000 skiable acres of land, the resort also boasts more than 250 shops and more than 100 restaurants.
Aspen
With four mountains for a variety skill levels, Aspen offers something for the whole family. At the summit of Aspen Mountain skiers can enjoy one of three restaurants. Downtown Aspen also has plenty of shops and restaurants.
Breckenridge
Breckenridge has four peaks for skiers to choose from, as well as the highest chairlift in the United States, reaching 12,840 feet. Off the slopes, Breckenridge is well known for its nighttime offerings with oxygen bars, nightclubs and restaurants.
Steamboat
Steamboat is a great place to vacation if you're an intermediate skier, with plenty of tree skiing and its famous champagne powder snow, which is believed to contain 70 percent less moisture than regular snow. After a day on the slopes, visit Strawberry Park Hot Springs to unwind.
Telluride
Telluride is a smaller mountain resort with 1,700 skiable acres. Consider dining at Giuseppe's restaurant, which at nearly 12,000 feet is the highest restaurant in the Rockies.
