Redwood National Park is located 326 miles north of San Francisco and contains a wealth of recreational opportunities for the outdoor enthusiast. There are over 200 miles of hiking trails available within the park, and cycling and kayaking are also popular.

Redwoods National Park Campgrounds

Redwoods National Park features four developed campgrounds. Three campgrounds are located within the forests. One campground, the Gold Bluffs Beach Campground, is located along the coast.

Jedediah Smith Campground

Jedediah Smith Campground is located along the Smith River, 10 miles east of Crescent City on Highway 199.

Mill Creek Campground


Mill Creek Campground is located seven miles south of Crescent City on Highway 101.

Elk Prairie Campground


Elk Prairie Campground is located six miles north of Orick on the Newton B. Drury Scenic Parkway.

Gold Bluffs Beach Campground


Gold Bluffs Beach Campground is located 10 miles north of Orick on Davison Road.
