To make your vacation to the Bahamas as memorable as possible, make sure you know all the required information before traveling to the islands.

The Department of Homeland Security recommends that visitors traveling to the Bahamas register with their country's embassy in case of an emergency.

Entry/Exit Required Documents

U.S. and Canadian citizens traveling to the Bahamas are required to show proof of citizenship with a passport---current or expired not more than five years. Citizens of the United Kingdom are not required to obtain a passport or visa if their visit is less than three weeks. Naturalized citizens are required to show naturalization papers; permanent residents are required to show their green card and a valid passport from their country of citizenship.

Return Ticket

All visitors traveling to the Bahamas are required to show immigration officers their return ticket.

Health Regulations

Visitors traveling to the Bahamas are not required to obtain vaccinations, but it should be considered due to the recent outbreaks of tuberculosis and malaria.
