Travelers have many options when planning their trips. They can buy plane tickets, drive to their destinations, or take buses or shuttles. Renting a car can make traveling much more flexible and pleasant.

Preserving Your Car

Outdoor enthusiasts tend to travel a lot. Too many miles on your own personal car can cause unnecessary wear and tear, ultimately leading to expensive repairs. Renting a car might seem more costly, but in the long run it could save you thousands of dollars.

Security

If your own car breaks down during a road trip, you have to wait until you can get it fixed. If a rental car breaks down, the rental company will supply you with a new automobile, sending you on your way again.

Flexibility

Rental cars offer more flexibility than planes, buses or shuttles. You choose when to leave, the speed of your journey, the route you take, and how often you stop for food or restrooms. A true traveler delights in finding spontaneous opportunities that other methods of transportation simply can't provide.

Comfort

Rental cars come clean, shiny and fresh-smelling. Most rental cars are less than a year old and have less than 10,000 miles on them. You will experience a comfortable and smooth journey--something your day-to-day car might not be able to deliver.

Meeting Temporary Needs

If you are planning a road trip for a large group, renting might be your best option. Rental companies provide vans that comfortably hold many people. If you are heading to the beach, renting a convertible could get you in a sunny mood even before you reach the shoreline.
