Information on Snowshoe Mountain Ski Resort
Snowshoe Mountain is one of the largest ski resorts in West Virginia. Given its size and relatively extensive terrain, Snowshoe is popular with residents of West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, North Carolina, Ohio, Illinois and Washington D.C.

Ownership

Snowshoe Mountain is a member of the Intrawest family of ski resorts. Intrawest also owns Whistler, Mont Tremblant, Copper Mountain and Steamboat ski resorts. At certain times of the year, it is possible for season-pass holders at Snowshoe Mountain to get discount tickets at other Intrawest resorts.

Snowfall

Snowshoe Mountain gets an average of 180 inches of snow each winter season. The resort also has 100 percent snow-making capacity.

Trails

Of the 61 trails at Snowshoe Mountain, 41 percent are suitable for beginners, 36 percent are for intermediates and 23 percent are for experts.

Night Skiing

Twelve of Snowshoe Mountain's trails are open for night skiing.

Lift System

Snowshoe has 14 lifts, including three high-speed detachable quads, two handle tows and two magic carpets.

Adaptive Programs

Snowshoe has an extensive adaptive ski and snowboard program for people with disabilities.
