Set in the foothills of the southern Adirondack Mountain area of Upstate New York, the city of Saratoga Springs has been nicknamed "Queen of Spas" and "Spa City" because of it natural springs, which are among only a handful of carbonated waters in the United States. Many hotels provide access to the area's natural beauty and the springs.

Washington Inn

The Washington Inn sits on four acres of land next to Saratoga Spa State Park, which has many hiking and biking paths. You can rent bicycles at the Victorian-inspired inn, which has 17 rooms and is one of the most historic hotels in Saratoga, according to Saratoga.com.

Longfellows Hotel

The Longfellows Hotel, a former dairy barn, is a mile east of the Saratoga Race Course. Featuring luxurious rooms with Jacuzzi baths and a tavern complete with a fireplace, the hotel offers views of the Adirondack Mountains.

Gideon Putnam Resort

Gideon Putnam Resort is in the heart of Saratoga Spa State Park. It has 18 suites and 120 guestrooms, plus two golf courses, two outdoor pools, and hiking and biking trails. It also offers snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.

Saratoga Arms Concierge Hotel

The Saratoga Arms Concierge Hotel is an 1870 brick hotel in Saratoga Springs' historic downtown district. It has 31 guestrooms, each with free wireless and high-speed Internet access, as well as individually controlled heating and air conditioning.

The Medberry Inn & Spa

Featuring a full-service mineral spa and salon, Medberry Inn & Spa is a feng shui boutique hotel located near downtown Saratoga Springs. Guests staying in one of the inn's 11 rooms can enjoy one complimentary mineral bath per two-night stay.
