Choose your suitcase by size and weight
Choice of Carry-on Bags
Carry-on luggage should be small and light enough to fit into aircraft overhead compartments. Smaller planes usually require smaller carry-on bags. Wheels on your carry-on bag may be handy for moving between gates and terminals.
Contents of Carry-on Bags
Liquids and gels should be no more than three ounces and placed in one quart-sized zip-top bag. Although medications and baby formula/food is allowed outside a zip-top bags and can be slightly over the three ounce limit, declare such items separately. Exclude aerosols and sharp objects such as razors, knives, nail files or scissors.
Choice of Checked-in Bags
Suitcases should be large enough to fit the limit of 50 lbs. A smaller bag will hold less and an additional bag will incur the cost of a second bag. Check the airline policy for weight limit and charges per bag.
