RV Camping at Starved Rock State Park in Illinois
RVing is a great way to travel the country and enjoy the great outdoors without giving up the creature comforts of home. Maneuvering an RV in state park campgrounds can be challenging because many are not designed to handle large RVs. Starved Rock State Park offers RVers the ability to camp within park boundaries and enjoy their RVing experience.

Geography

Starved Rock Campground is located within Starved Rock State Park in Utica, Illinois. It is situated in close proximity to the waterfalls, hiking trails and other park attractions.

Function

A hundred of the 133 Class A-Premium campsites at the State Park Campground can be reserved in advance; the remaining sites are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Benefits

The campground has electricity, flush toilets and showers, picnic tables, fire grates, children's playground, separate youth camping area and general store. Seven campsites are accessible for people with disabilities.

Considerations

Starved Rock State Park Campground does not take reservations after Oct. 31. All campsites are on a first-come, first-serve basis from Nov. 1 to April 30.

Warning

Starved Rock State Park Campground is closed during hunting season on certain weekends in November, December and January. Be sure to plan your trip accordingly.
