Lake Conroe Park

Lake Conroe Park
Just one hour's drive north of Houston, the 21,000-acre Lake Conroe is a year-round outdoor destination. Lake Conroe Park, also known as "Park on the Lake," is located at the southern end of Lake Conroe in Montgomery County.

Getting There

The park is located on Texas 105, just seven miles west of Interstate 45. For further details, call the park at (936) 788-8302.

Admission

As of 2009, the admission fee was a minimal $2 per person over age 5 and under age 65.

Hours

Lake Conroe Park is open year-round from 9:30 a.m. until dusk. It is closed on Mondays.

Amenities

There are fishing piers, a children's playground, horseshoe pits, two swimming piers, a softball field, grills and picnic areas. A pavilion is available for rent by the day or half-day.

Camping

There is no camping in the park, but there are many RV parks and campsites in the area. Sunset Shores RV Park and Castaways RV Park are two campgrounds located on Lake Conroe.
