Central Park, in the New York City borough of Manhattan, is a delight for outdoors enthusiasts and sightseers, overlooking the neighborhoods of Harlem to the north, the Upper West Side to the west, Yorkville to the east and Times Square farther south.

The Eldorado

The Eldorado looms over Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir on Central Park West. The architect, Emery Roth, designed its 30 floors of art deco tower in 1931 as an apartment building.

Whole Foods Market

The Whole Foods Market on Columbus Circle outside Central Park sells local and organic foods in its 68,000-square-foot store. The supermarket validates parking for shoppers and provides delivery services to some Manhattan addresses.

Museum of the City of New York

Located on 5th Avenue across from Central Park, this museum showcases exhibits relating to New York City. The museum collects NYC artwork, fashion and theater pieces available for research.

New York Athletic Club

In 1868, the New York Athletic Club formed to support amateur and Olympic athletes. Their city house on West 59th Street contains floors for racquetball, judo, track, aquatics and fencing, among other sports.

FAO Schwarz Toy Store

This toy store company has been a New York mainstay since 1876, with unique stuffed animals and wooden toys among its product line. In 1986, the store moved to the corner of 58th Street and 5th Avenue facing Central Park.
