Weather and Climate in Mexico During July
Covering more than 750,000 square miles and a variety of terrain, Mexico's climate varies greatly between the low-lying coastal land, mountainous areas and northern desert regions. In July, however, no matter where you are in Mexico, the weather is likely to be warm and fairly dry.

The Chihuahuan Desert and areas around it in northern Mexico tend to be very hot in July, though nights can get much cooler. For example, the average July high in Juarez is 95, but the average low is just 70 degrees. Only a little rainfall occurs during this month.

Central Mexico

The valleys, plateaus and higher elevation of central Mexico make it slightly cooler than other regions in midsummer. Mexico City's average temperature in July is only 73 degrees, with an average low down of 53. This month is also the wettest time of year, with an average of 7.2 inches in the capital city.

Eastern Mexico

If you're in the eastern part of the country, temperatures and humidity remain high. Cancun, on the Yucatan Peninsula, has an average high in July of 90 and a low of 78. There is little rain this time of year.

Southern Mexico
