Looking for a vacation spot along the Chesapeake Bay catering to outdoor activities? Talbot County, Maryland has small villages nestled between forests of autumn colors during the fall months, where you can encircle yourself in nature while bicycling, boating, hunting, fishing or horseback riding.

Rails to Trails

Easton, Maryland has recycled decommissioned railroad lines into public biking and walking trails. The project contains two miles of trails as of October 2009.

Skipjack Sailboat

The Rebecca T. Ruark skipjack is a National Historic Landmark that still sails for walk-on guests and private groups who can try their hand at hoisting sails and oyster dredging.

Charter Fishing

The Lowes Wharf Charters offers waterfowl hunting and charter fishing expeditions for groups of six or fewer along the eastern shore of Chesapeake Bay.

Audubon Center

The Jean Ellen duPont Shehan Audubon Sanctuary in Bozman promotes wildlife conservation and education. Horseback riding enthusiasts are permitted to bring their horses for rides on open days.

Golf Courses

The Hog Neck Golf Course in Easton features both 18- and 9-hole courses and a driving range. The Harbourtowne Golf Resort in St. Michaels contains pool and tennis court facilities in addition to their 18-hole course.
