History
In 1922, the business community of Boston petitioned the Massachusetts legislature to build an airport. On Sept. 8, 1923, the official dedication ceremony made the opening of Boston Airport complete. It currently covers more than 2,400 acres and employs about 16,000 people.
Location
The official address is 1 Harborside Drive, East Boston, MA 02128. It is accessible from most major interstates in East Boston and can be reached via bus, subway and water transport. The main information phone number is (617) 568-5000.

Duty-free shopping is available in terminals B, C and E. Unique gift stores, such as Boston Emporium Cart, can be found in terminals B, C, D and E. Newsstands are located in all terminals; E also offers postage stamps and a bookstore. Salon and spa services are in both B and C.
Parking
Both garages and open lots provide parking with economy, long-term parking available. There is no curbside parking at any terminal. Information about parking can be found on the AM radio dial at 1650.
Major Airlines
Delta primarily operates out of Terminal A. In terminal B, you will find American and US Airways. Terminal C hosts Air Canada, Continental, United and Midwest. The only airline operating out of terminal D is AirTran. Terminal E carries mostly international flights including AeroMexico, Northwest and Virgin Atlantic. It also is the location for charter flights.
