Rain
Rain is not commonn in Las Vegas, but when it does rain, flash-flooding is a risk. January, February and March are the rainiest months of the year, and thunderstorms are typical in July and August.
Snow
Snow is very rare in Las Vegas. Temperatures rarely drop to below freezing, so when snow does fall, it quickly melts. Snow that falls in the surrounding mountains provides skiing spots within driving distance of Las Vegas.
Humidity
Las Vegas is located in the desert and is known for being dry, with very little humidity, usually 10 percent or less. The humidity is slightly higher in July and August, but not enough to interfere with outdoor activities.
Sun and Heat
Las Vegas is one of the sunniest spots in the U.S. There are rarely cloudy days or overcast conditions, and temperatures can reach upward of 110 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer months. Sunburn and heat-related conditions can easily occur without the proper protection and planning during outdoor summer activities.
Wind
High winds occur periodically in Las Vegas year-round and can be strong enough to affect outdoor activities.
