Tourism in Dells, Wisconsin

Tourism in Dells, Wisconsin
Wisconsin Dells is Wisconsin's biggest tourist attraction because of its mixture of nature and tourist traps. With bluffs, Lake Delton and a number of campgrounds, this is an ideal vacation spot for outdoor lovers.

History

Wisconsin Dells refers to Lake Delton, the Wisconsin River and the rock formations located along it. To truly appreciate its nature, you must understand the history of the region dating to the 1700s when the "Dalles" of the Wisconsin River were identified on a map of the Great Lakes region. For an in-depth look, check out the history museum on Main Street.

Boats

River Walk

One of the best views of the Dells is through the River Walk along the river downtown. There, you can see the hustle and bustle of downtown but enjoy a peaceful walk along the river.
