Reno, Nevada Tourism Information
Reno, Nevada, bills itself as "The Biggest Little City in the World" and boasts a number of options for visiting tourists. Gambling is legal there, as it is in the rest of Nevada, and nearby Lake Tahoe offers a plethora of outdoor activities.

Skiing

Eighteen different ski resorts can be found in the Reno-Lake Tahoe area. For those who don't want to stay in Tahoe, a number of Reno hotels offer "ski and stay" packages.

Air Activities

The Sierra Nevada Mountains offer a visually impressive background to numerous airborne activities, including skydiving, hang gliding and hot-air ballooning.

Boating and Kayaking

Visit the nearby Truckee River for kayaking and boating opportunities. In addition, the Reno River Festival takes place every spring, featuring whitewater rafting events and similar outdoor competitions.

Children's Activities

Reno offers a number of outdoor family activities, including Wild Island Park, Ultimate Rush Thrill Park, the Animal Ark Sanctuary and the Fleischmann Planetarium.

Baseball

The Reno Aces are a Triple A affiliate team for the major league Arizona Diamondbacks. They play in a new stadium, which opened in the spring of 2009.
