Weather in Mexico is not uniform throughout the country--the many regions of Mexico have climates that vary as much as the terrain.

Pacific Coast Region

The Pacific Coast region runs the length of Mexico's Pacific shoreline. The tropical areas boast temperatures ranging from 80 to 90 degrees F year-round, while the mountainous territory is cooler.

Central Mexico

Central Mexico offers a mixture of topography, with moderate temperatures ranging from the mid 20s F in the winter to a comfortable mid-80s F in the summer.

Gulf of Mexico and the South

The Gulf of Mexico region is an exemplary area for rock climbing and water sports. The tropical and semi-tropical temperatures range from around 77 to the mid-80s F.

Yucatan Peninsula

Featuring numerous white sandy beaches and Mayan ruins, Yucatan's climate is hot and humid year-round.

Northern Mexico

The arid northern deserts see summer temperatures rise into the 100s F and plunge down below freezing in the winter.
