2 Person Tent Instructions
Sleeping in a two-person tent can be an exercise in diplomacy; there's usually only just enough room for you each to set up your sleeping bags side by side. Sometimes you can't even sit up straight without hitting your head on the inside of the tent.

Sides

Because most two-person tents will have only one way in and out, you'll have to decide who sleeps on the inside and who sleeps nearest the door.

Assembly

Most two-person tents assemble very easily; just slide a few poles into fabric sleeves, attach the rain fly, and with some models, stake it out.

Teamwork

While one member of the team is assembling the tent, the other person can keep busy cooking food, sorting gear or organizing the campsite.

Vestibule

Make best use of your two-man tent's vestibule by keeping wet, muddy or dirty items outside your living area but still otherwise protected from the elements.

Headlamp

A small LED headlamp can be very useful for reading at night without disturbing your tent partner.

Direction

Make sure to evaluate the prevailing wind direction--look at the trees to get a good hint of it--when pitching your tent; ideally, the door should open facing downwind.
