Mission Bay Park Rules

Mission Bay Park Rules
Mission Bay Park is near San Diego. The park is approximately half land and half water and filled with a variety of walking trails. The park is also utilized by outdoors enthusiasts for activities such as water skiing and wind surfing. Visitors to the park must adhere to certain regulations.

Dogs

Some areas of Mission Bay Park require that dogs remain leashed, while other areas allow dogs to be unleashed but it is recommended to keep dogs on a leash at all times to protect wildlife. Leashes must be less than 8 feet long.

Overnight Camping

Staying overnight in Mission Bay Park is not allowed.

Fishing

Fishing is allowed in areas that are not designated for water activities. Fishing is not allowed off of any bridge in Mission Bay Park.

Permits

Permits are required for certain events such as weddings and use of athletic fields for team sports.

Boat Storage

For long-term boat storage, permits are required for a mooring space or a space on a beach bar.
