Description of K2 Axis Skis
Known for their easy stability, K2 Axis skis are designed for all-mountain terrain and conditions ranging from groomers to powder. These high-performance sticks are intended for advanced and expert level skiers.

Dimensions

The sidecut on the K2 Axis is 16mm. Its turn radius ranges from 16m in the 174-cm length, 18m at the 174-cm length, and 20m at its longest 181-cm length.

Construction

The core of the K2 Axis a triaxial braided Torsion Box. This construction creates a vibrant, responsive ski.

Materials

A core of spruce wood is covered with sintered P-Tex and laminated with a metal top sheet.

Technology

K2 has designed the Axis with its MOD technology, which allows skis to bend while absorbing vibration. A weight on the front of the ski, called the Mod Monic, assists in dampening vibration.

Awards

In 2004, the K2 Axis won prizes from the two major industry reviewers, Ski and Skiing magazines.
