Open weave fabric is quick drying, moisture wicking, lightweight and easy to care for. BugsAway Insect Shield® clothing repels mosquitoes (including those carrying West Nile virus and malaria), ticks, ants, flies, chiggers and midges or no-see-ums. Insect Shield® is odorless, colorless and does not change the feel of the garment. Insect Shield® is effective through 70 washes. Drawstring hood and thumb loops provide maximum protection from bites. Kangaroo-style pocket. Flatlock seams reduce chafing and increase durability. ExOfficio BugsAway Lumen hoodie has a natural fit.

find yourself a good stick – 2013-07-27
nice top, BugsAway works pretty well

I wore this top on a 5 day backpacking trip in the Winds in Wyoming in early July when the mosquitos were just everywhere in huge clumps. The mosquitos landed on the top, and then flew away so the BugAway treatment is good. I did still get bite on my shoulder somehow, might be because the neck opening is sort of wide, not sure, but it could of been a lot worse. This tops breaths really well, and I was not hot in it. This top also comes with the thumb loops which I liked, but I also got that part really dirty and it did not wash off. Oh, this top did smell pretty funky at the end of the backpacking trip, but it's not wool. Also, it is definitely a loose fitting shirt, I am usually a small, and the small felt roomy. I did not try the XS.
