Delaware (DE)
is nicknamed "The First State" and has a land area of 1,945 square miles which makes it the 49th largest state in the U.S. Its largest city is Wilmington, the capital city is Dover, and its highest point is Ebright Azimuth at 449 feet. Delaware joined the Union in 1787 as (not surprisingly, given the nickname) the 1st state,
and is blessed with many great trails,
including Brandywine Creek State Park, CRABS Challenge
and Middle Run Natural Area.
