The Dalbello Raya 11 ski boots welcome you to the slopes, whether you're gaining downhill skills for the first time or you're coming back to skiing after a long time away. Women-specific fit is designed for your foot and calf; fabrics and extra insulation are selected for their softness and warmth. Ski easier, ski longer—the structural materials are lighter and more flexible than those used in men's boots. Offering a precise foothold and a progressive flex as you bend your knees into the turn, the Raya 11 boots feature a 3-piece shell design that optimizes responsiveness. Separate cuff, shell and tongue sections are joined together to create a smooth forward flex with rigid lateral and rearward support. Women-specific liners improve foothold on your feet with tapered heels, roomy forefeet, high insteps and low-profile cuffs. Lightweight, custom-formable liner also features a microfleece lining, a performance insole and a wrap design that optimizes control of rearfoot volume. Liners are engineered to fit correctly right out of the box, but they can be custom molded as well, a procedure best performed in an REI specialty ski shop. Plush faux fur collars add style and comfort, and cuffs can be expanded to personalize the fit in your calves. 3 microadjustable aluminum buckles on each boot create an accurate fit. Cable instep buckle on each boot minimizes foot sliding, heel lift and shell distortion while flexing. Power straps enhance wrap and support of the upper ankles while increasing the boots' forward rigidity. Single canting adjustment fits the cuffs to the angles of your lower legs and levels the soles of the boots above the skis. Ski/Walk mechanism softens the flex of the boot while you're headed toward the lift and increases the flex when you're carving turns down the hill.
