I am a backpacker that currently lives in New Orleans where the opportunities for backpacking are few and far between, to say the least. However, I do get to travel a few times a year to locals with some great backpacking. I have just become aware of your website and to put it simply, it is awesome. It has the largest database of trails I have found on the net and enough information to get you headed in the right direction.

I heard that it had snowed a foot overnight in Running Springs (San Bernardino Mtns.) near me. I thought I'd try going x-c skiing up there this weekend.
