Neck opening too small

This item runs very small. I could not get the 9-10 size over my 9 year olds head! (he only weighs 57 lbs.) The 7-8 did not fit my 7 year old's head. I was able to SQUEEZE his head thru the 9-10 size, but there is no elastic or give to the neck hole. It was a real struggle! It is clearly a construction/design problem and unfortunately I will have to return both. Sizing up is a not an option, b/c it is a real struggle to get the garmet on even when it is over sized. It's unfortunate b/c it would be nice for the kids bug shirts to have a hood on them for extra protection and bug deterrent around the neck and face.
