I didn't read the other review correctly
The other review says, "If this is the folding tire 'handmade in Germany,' it is a great buy." I missed the word IF. To be fair, it works fine and the description listed it as foldable "no." Missed that too I guess. This is the wire bead model Made in India. Probably could have got them just as cheap anywhere. I was trying to get bigger tires for my bike that still fit, so it's kind of hit or miss. I think these still have the Black Chili rubber. Can't remember. These are still voluminous and most of the knobs are on top so they don't have side clearance issues like the Panaracers I tried. Bicyclebuys keeps have the foldables on sale intermittently.

Great tire!
If this is the folding tire "handmade in Germany," it is a great buy! Previously known as the "Rubber Queen," this is a great all-round mtb tire. It is large volume for a 2.2, very cush. And the Black Chili compound has excellent grip for SoCal conditions. It weighs more than the advertised 650g -- closer to 700g in the wild. Wish the rolling resistance and weight were a little lower. Sealed up nicely for me tubeless on converted rims.
