Functional, sturdy, great styling
Pretty good cooler for fishing, day trips, daily use. Classic americana. (made in China)

Almost as good as the original
Am I the only one that misses the bottle opener on the side? How did Coleman overlook that? This gets close but its not as good as the original. Slight reduction in quality (plastic lid handle and drain plug are examples...old ones had a metal lid handle over the latch and screw in plugs that never leaked). Other than that, seems to keep things just as cold and the vintage style is still a timeless look that keeps this classic a favorite today.

Back to the 70's
Ever since I was a boy growing up with this cooler I have wanted one. Our first use was for a pre Cinco de Mayo party and we took it right into he hosts kitchen. We hade single serving margaritas in canning jars and lemonade for kids. Very retro and 6 days later it still has ice in it and some cold beer for the patio.

Nothing beats the old standard
Bought this cooler as a replacement of our old steel belted that got lost during a move and glad to say its still the best out there. On a recent camping trip we brought this along with a Rubbermaid and saw a real difference. The Coleman kept ice for about 4 days in 90 degree day / 60 degree night temps while the Rubbermaid was going through ice every day and a half. Still miss the old Coleman screw drain plug but other than that, this is the same cooler you grew up with and loved.
