Solid, simple...maybe even bulletproof?
I bought this to replace a lost Cateye wireless computer. I wasn't paying enough attention when making the purchase to realize this model wasn't wireless and was a bit frustrated with myself upon realizing this. No matter - I went ahead and installed it as I thought the cadence sensor would be a nice addition (the lost wireless model didn't have a cadence feature). Anyway, it works great and seems accurate when comparing data to the phone app I also use. I like the simplicity of it: just press the unit, which essentially functions as one big button, to cycle though (pun intended) average speed, trip distance, cadence, total distance, max speed, time and a clock. All the while your speed is displayed in large numbers above the other data. Now, what prompted me to write this review was when removing wet clothes from the washing machine this morning. Like the rear wheel sensor...
After researching different computers, I settled on the Cateye Strata Cadence because of the fact that it was wired (which to me is always a more reliable communications connection for any device), the ability to measure cadence, and the rear wheel sensor. The rear wheel sensor comes in really handy because the computer can still be used on when riding on the stationary trainer. The Strata Cadence has been very reliable and proven to be very accurate when compared with GPS apps like Strava or Map My Ride.I have put about 1200 miles on my computer and it is still very reliable. It's only week point is that it is very hard to read once the sun starts going down because there is no light or if there is very bright sun due to glare.

Great Computer
I bought this a week ago and so far love it. The install was fairly easy, only took about 20 minutes.
