Horizontally positioned hydration compartment loads easily, holding the reservoir flat against your back. Wide-mouth port cuts weight and makes it easy to fill and clean the reservoir; quick-snap cap tightens in just a quarter turn. Reservoir is taste free, easy to clean and easy to fill via the large opening. Big Bite™ valve is ergonomically positioned for easy drinking. Back panel with breathable mesh helps keep fresh air flowing across the back for enhanced ventilation and comfort. 2 zippered pockets on the hipbelt and a gel pocket on the harness accommodate snacks and often-used essentials; emergency whistle on the left shoulder strap is detachable. The CamelBak Octane 22 LR hydration pack features an overflow pocket on the front panel that accomodates extra layers or a helmet.
