Poor performance quality and durability
I climb outside at least three days a week, often more, and go through a minimum of four pairs of shoes each year. Having had four previous pairs of Boreal Climbing shoes I have a lot of experience with the product. I recently purchased my first pair of Kryptos since it has been harder to find Blades locally. With this particular model I have climbed on Sport, Trad, Bouldering, Overhanging, and Slab.Within two weeks the edging rubber on the toe has melted away and is already peeling from the rand. Additionally the friction is noticeably weaker than other versions, particularly on the sole of the shoe. While I do tend to climb a lot this is substandard performance. The Kryptos simply do not conform to the quality I have come to expect from Boreal.
