Black Diamond HoodWire Quickdraw Set

Weighing in at only 82g and featuring 2 snag-free 'biners, the Black Diamond HoodWire quickdraw set won't slow you down on challenging sport climbs. Includes HoodWire 'biners on top and bottom that are linked by a 14mm-wide Dynex dogbone runner, creating a strong and very light quickdraw. Hot-forged HoodWire 'biners have stainless-steel wire hoods that keep the 'biners from snagging on slings, protection and bolt hangers. Rubber Straitjacket™ insert in the lower runner loop keeps the bottom carabiner in the proper orientation for easier and more efficient clipping. The Black Diamond HoodWire quickdraw has a 12cm-long dogbone runner.

Very Nice

Great product from Black Diamond. The new hood-wire nose is nice, does not snag on the rope at all. Very smooth to clip your rope. If I were to change anything, I would use a different carabiner on the bolt clipping end of the draw. The hood-wire nose is kinda chunky and can get in the way. I may swap out the hood-wire biner on the bolt clipping end for something like Petzel Spirit (http://www.rei.com/product/799033/petzl-spirit-straight-gate-carabiner).The Spirit has a very 'sharp' nose that is narrow and very ease to clip, unclip, especially when cleaning a sport route.Yes, I am splitting hairs, I know... But all in all a great quick draw, I will buy more when these wear out.
