Black Diamond Bbee Pack

The minimalist Black Diamond Bbee pack fits the bill for day hikers, peak baggers and bicyclists looking for a light, streamlined and comfortable design. Contoured shoulder straps and sternum strap offer great comfort; OpenAir back panel features breathable padding with a mesh covering and shallow channels. 20mm webbing hipbelt adds stability and is easy to remove when you don't need it. Main compartment has a zippered panel opening for easy access; hydration sleeve, exit ports and tube loops on the shoulder straps accommodate a reservoir (sold separately). The Black Diamond Bbee pack features an internal stash pocket and a slot to hold a bike light.

BD, Please fix self removing waist belt.

Nice light low profile pack that is well constructed with one very big exception. The 'easy to remove' waist belt actually will 'easily' fall off the pack when not in use. It happened to me a couple times and I took to either removing them or clipping them together and cinching tight to avoid this which was fine, no big deal, until that one day I forgot to do this and carried it around for about an hour and yep both straps fell out and I only could find one. Big bummer. Black Diamond in the future please make them easy to remove but not self removing. In my opinion, a design flaw in terms of the pairing of the thin and slippery strap with melted and thinned end and the cinching buckle. I would wrap some tape around the end of the strap next time around.
