Wonderful boot
I followed advice and bought my boots a full size larger and late in the day. Two days later I went to the Boy Scout Jamboree at the Summit in WV. I did not break in my boots at all. We had to hike about 2.5 miles to get from our campsite to our work site. Throw in hiking to chow hall and around Jamboree and I was putting in 8-12 miles a day everyday according to my pedometer. NO blisters, NO hot spots, NO problems with these boots! I wore a thin liner sock (silk worked better than poly for me) and smartwool or REI or BSA hiking socks. And I wore a pack everyday with close to 20 pounds or more. It got to the point where my feet felt better in my boots than in any other shoe! We also had swampy conditions in my work center. We were literally ankle deep in mud for several days, but my boots kept my feet dry and they cleaned up easily after Jamboree. I am prepping to hike the AT and hope these boots will last for most of it. I would definitely

I may have lucked out really
I will start with stating these are my first hiking boot investment boots. I went to the REI in Marlton NJ with my boyfriend, who is a hiker, and tried on every pair they had. The staff at the store was great, we were able to look at the different style and workout which size would be best. I walked around the store itself and used the mini rock display to see if they would stabilize my ankle enough. I tend to easily twist my ankles so it was a big concern when going on a multiple day hike. I work in schools so I am usually on my feet all day, heavy shoes are not an option for me. I feel the weight quickly and will drag through the day. When comparing these with the other boots in stock they felt lighter then most but not so

Perfect boot
I purchased these boots based on the reviews and style. They weren't too manly, and still had great colors to choose from. I didn't make time before our hike to Lake Ingalls to break these boots in. (Really like keeping things in mint condition.) I figured I get tons of blisters, but with a pair of sock liners, a nice hiking blend sock, and a little moleskin on my heels, my feet are blister-free! We went on a three day hiking trip and I wore them all day. I did buy them a half size bigger so I could wear a sock liner and a pair of hiking socks. That really helped, especially after your feet swell as you hike. One of my feet is naturally a half size bigger, so instead of a 7 1/2 I tried on the 8 and it was a perfect, comfortable fit for me. Highly recommend these boots!

Great Boots
Fit great from the start -- no blisters despite starting two weeks of day hikes without much preparation. Amazingly lightweight, supportive, and comfortable. Plus, tons of compliments for the colors and design. Great buy for me!

Best hiking boot ever
I love these boots. If Ahnu can make boots with soft, nearly seamless insides, then why can't all manufacturers do the same? I took these boots straight out of the box onto a 5-day backpacking trip on rocky trails with numerous stream crossings and had no issues with blisters or water infiltration. Awesome product.

Light weight & comfortable 4 light hikes
I got these for light hiking in the Canadian Rockies, and they were perfect: light weight for carrying around and more ankle

I just completed a backpacking trip in the White Mts. These boots provided very little support and are not at all made for navigating the rocky conditions of the Whites. I felt all the roc

Great boots per wife
I purchased these boots for my wife's birthday strictly based on previous reviews. I wanted them to be a suprise so my wife had no input on the selection. The reviewers are true to their word. Based on my wife's reaction and comments to me, these boots were a great fit and very comfortable right out of the box. I did good because she loves them. Thanks to the previous reviewers, you made my job easy.

These boots are awesome!
Hiked in Denali National Park wearing these boots! They did not require breaking in, they were comfortable from the get go! Did not get any blisters! I wore these on rugged, rocky trails and felt very secure much more so than in my Keen sandals! Definitely waterproof too! Love the color!

BEST BOOTS I'VE EVER HAD
I love these boots more than any other pair I've ever owned. I have worn them in all sorts of conditions, from Upstate NY blizzard to Hawaiian lava fields. They keep my feet cool in hot places, and warm in cold places, and comfortable no matter where I am. There was no "break-in" period; they were perfect immediately and have remained that way. I've never gotten a single blister from these boots despite having walked/hiked/clambered 10+ miles at a time. They have great traction and hug my feet like supportive cl

Great Boots
These boots should be ordered one size larger, I think. I have a pair of Vasque boots in a size 9.5 medium which fit perfectly. I had to order a half size up ( 10 ) for these Ahnu boots.Even the Vasque required up-sizing from a 9.0. Both brands of boots are wonderful. The Vasque are lined and warm in winter and waterproof as well. The Ahnu are waterproof, comfortable and lightweight.Lacing on both is also very easy for my arthritic hands.

Worst Boot Ever
It's a lightweight boot that's not particularly lightweight. It's too bulky and uncomfortable for day hikes, but not supportive enough for anything more. The fact that people claim they use this boot for back country backbacking with heavy loads boggles my mind. It's not at all durable, and will wear out quickly. Steer clear of this boot. Better off with a Lowa, Vasque, Asolo, or e

Good boot
I have not worn it hiking it yet, but it fits well, feels supportive and is comfortable. I think it will work well with uneven terrain and in wet conditions.

Love these!
I love these boots. I had been wearing another brand of hiking boot, which I absolutely loved, but wanted to try a lighter weight boot. This boot fits the bill. Great traction, very comfortable and lightweight and waterproof. I hike 8-10 miles once a week, over rocks and steep, uneven terrain and they work great. And they recently have been used on two 20+ mile day hikes, that included rock scrambling and snow crossings and they were awesome. I would definitely recommend these boots.

Awesome Hiking Shoes
Loved these hiking boots. I got them for a 11 mile hike into Havasupi Falls. (During the trip we hiked about 22 miles). These shoes were a great fit and served me well. I was the only person in our party that didn't get blisters. Comfortable, suppo

Immediately comfortable with support
My athletic 20 year old daughter selected these boots and loved them from the first minute. We just got back from Yosemite and the boots worked great. My wife tried them out and liked the comfort, traction, and ankle support so much she bought a pair too and is getting into hiking.

Exactly as advertised
Like any serious boot, these Ahnus need a little breaking in, so I wore them around the house for a few days before going out. The first foray was a moderate climb up a local trail - dirt, not always level, with muddy and gravelly areas. I felt completely stable and in control at all times - and keep in mind I am almost 60. We walked through soaking wet grass, and my feet stayed dry. And my Ahnus are a terrific shade of dark lavender. Hence the "zazzy." I LOVE these boots.

Really nice, quality hiking boot!
I bought these for my girlfriend after she tried them on in the store and fell in love with them. She actually liked them better than the Asolo Concordia. These are really nice boots, very comfortable, supportive and stylish. The collar is really soft pig skin and she loves the Tawny Port (purple) color. We haven't tested them
