BEST HIKING SHOE AROUND!!!!!!
I DID SO MUCH RESEARCH ABOUT THESE SHOES I STARTED TO LOSE SLEEP AND NOT EATING.I WAITED AND WAITED TO TRY AND FIND THE "RIGHT" HIKING SHOE.FOUND OUT REI HAD THEM IN STORE,S0 I TOOK A CHANCE AND PURCHASED THEM.THE VERY FIRST DAY ON THE TRAIL,I WAS SO EXCITED,HAPPY,JOYOUS ABOUT HIKING IN THESE SHOES! THEY ARE THE BEST SHOES I HAVE EVER OWNED IN MY 25 YEARS OF STRENUOS BACKPACKING!!!!!

Out of box Alps hiker
Got these as a light hiker having good traction for a Swiss Alps hut-to-hut trip where I didn't want to deal with traveling with heavier boots. They worked great in all conditions when paired with a good "no blister" sock while carrying up to 50 pounds. They are a little low-cut around the ankles to work well with gaiter

Excellent walking shoe
A very comfortable durable well designed shoe. They may cost more, but the are well worth it. They are the best walking/athletic shoe I've ever owned.[Review

Wanted to like them.
I wanted to like these shoes but considering that they were both the most expensive and most uncomfortable shoes I've ever owned I had to rate them one star. If you have very narrow feet you might actually like these but they didn't work for me. These shoes caused me pain and made my feet go numb even after attempts to break them in. I order them a half size larger than I normally would but they were still way too narrow. On the plus side they had great traction and looked cool. Overall I would not reccommend these to anyone.
